About NKAP In March 2000, five paralegals employed in the RiverCenter building in downtown Covington, KY hosted an organizational meeting with sixteen attendees about what would become the Northern Kentucky Association of Paralegals, or NKAP. For seventeen proud years and counting, NKAP has been active in the legal community and proud to call Northern Kentucky home! Each Spring, NKAP hosts its annual Hand in Hand Conference. This event has grown annually and encompasses attendees from lawyers, GALs and paralegals to foster parents, adoptive parents, CASA and CFCRB workers. We strive to make this an educational event for all of those working with children and citizens in community. Each December, NKAP members gather for the annual holiday social. In the past the social has been hosted at local restaurants but has evolved to being a potluck event with each member bringing a dessert. At this event, we support a local charity by collecting donations for the charity. NKAP holds its elections in November and the new Board takes over in January. It is anticipated that the goals for NKAP in 2021-22 will be to build its membership so that it can continue to grow its annual seminar and host other philanthropic events throughout the year. |
